Box Score CLAREMONT, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Soccer team drew 0-0 with Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) opponent CMS on Saturday afternoon at the Pomona-Pitzer Soccer Field.
Season Impact: with the draw, the Sagehens move to 8-1-2 overall and 5-0-2 in SCIAC play.
Pomona-Pitzer's defense came away with another shutout at home with goalkeeper's Naomi Meurice and Taylor Kane combining for the team's seventh shutout of the year. The Sagehens dominated possession against the Athenas, and the defense played spectacular again after they limited CMS to just three shots for the entire game with just two on target.
The Sagehen offense lived inside the CMS defensive third but ultimately couldn't find the back of the net. The Sagehens had multiple chances to net the game-winner and even sent a blistering shot off of the crossbar from the foot of Ella Endo, but CMS was able to pack the box and come away with the draw.
Up Next: The Sagehens will next head to Whittier on Wednesday, October 12th at 7:00 p.m.
