Sagehens Fall To Stags In Overtime, 1-0

Box Score

CLAREMONT, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Soccer team falls in overtime in the Sixth Street Rivalry to CMS 1-0 on Wednesday night at Pirtzlaff Field.

With the loss, the Sagehens fall to 7-5-1 overall and 5-3-1 in SCIAC play.

The Sagehens stayed with the Stags for the entire contest as they forced Claremont to overtime for the second time this season. The Sagehens bent but didn't break during regulation as CMS hit the post multiple times but could not get a scoring opportunity to find the back of the net.

The Sagehens had one shot on goal during the game as they failed to link up in the final third and create some high-quality scoring opportunities against the Stags.

The golden goal happened in the 93rd minute of the match as the Stags connected on a lob that was headed on into the corner of the goal to walk-off the win for CMS.

Up Next: The Sagehens will continue their road trip as they travel to Occidental on Saturday, October 23rd at 7:30 p.m.
