The Sagehens forced a punt on the opening drive of the game and came away with points on their first offensive possession with Chase Redd hitting a 44-yard field goal to five the Sagehens a 3-0 lead. Cal Lutheran came back with a one-yard touchdown run to cap off their drive but the Sagehens ended the first quarter with a 10-yard quarterback run from Odermann to give Pomona-Pitzer a 10-7 lead.

The Kingsmen came back to take their first lead of the game after a 27-yard touchdown pass but Odermann struck again for his second rushing score of the night to cap off a 9 play 78-yard drive to take a 17-14 lead with 10:50 to go before half.

Pomona-Pitzer's defense stayed strong for the majority of the third and fourth quarter but the Kingsmen had a chance to tie or take the lead with a late drive in the fourth quarter. Cal Lutheran went 69 yards in just five plays capped off with a touchdown pass from Eli Peters to Chris Anderson to put CLU up 28014 with 2:05 remaining.

The Sagehens got a good return from Levon Lester and moved the ball down the field to set themselves up for a first and goal on the three-yard line. The Sagehens had four chances to get the ball in the endzone but a stand by the CLU defense gave the Kingsmen a win at home over Pomona-Pitzer.
