Box Score THOUSAND OAKS, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Soccer team fell on the road to Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) opponent Cal Lutheran 1-0 on Saturday night at Roland Stadium.
Season Impact: With the loss, the Sagehens drop to 5-4-1 overall and 3-2-1 in SCIAC play while the Regals improve to 7-1-1 and 5-0-1 in conference play.
The Sagehens and Regals both took a decent amount of shots in the match with Cal Lutheran slightly outshooting the Sagehens 8-7 but neither time had many shots on goal with the Sagehens only shooting on frame three times and the Regals with just two.
The difference in the game came during the 51st minute in the second half as the Regals converted a throw in into points as Kali Youngdahl got her head onto the throw in and flicked it on into the back of the net to give the Regals a 1-0 lead.
Pomona-Pitzer's offense could not find its rhythm in the second half against the Regals as Cal Lutheran remained unbeaten in the SCIAC this season.
