Box Score CLAREMONT, Calif. – Jessica Finn had 12 assists but the Pomona-Pitzer Volleyball team struggled against undefeated No. 2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, falling in three sets.

Season Impact: The Sagehens move into a tie for fifth place in the SCIAC. Their records drops to 8-9 overall and 4-5 in SCIAC play.
The Athenas improve to 16-0 overall and 8-0 in the SCIAC.
Sophomore Julia Zwaal led Pomona-Pitzer with seven kills in the match, bringing her team-leading season total to 200. Zwaal also had seven digs.
Freshman Isabel Kelly followed with five kills of her own. Jackie Roland added three assists
Sophie Janssen led the Sagehens with 10 digs. Sarah Gamble had three kills and a block. Gamble leads the Sagehens and ranks sixth in the SCIAC with 51 total blocks.
CMS was lead by Shelbi Stein's 10 kills, and Clara Madsen's 19 assists.
Next Match: Pomona-Pitzer begins their second round of SCIAC games in Pasadena next Friday in a 7 p.m game against Caltech. The Sagehens beat the Beavers 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-9) the first time they met this year.
