Box Score Orange, Calif. - Pomona-Pitzer's men's soccer team fell to Chapman, 2-1, Saturday to close out the 2015 season.
With the loss, the Sagehens stand at 8-9-3 overall and 8-7-1 in SCIAC. The team's fifth-place finish in the conference standings mean that Pomona-Pitzer will not advance to the SCIAC Tournament this fall.
At Chapman on Saturday, the hosts got on the board in the second minute, and the 1-0 lead held through halftime. Chapman added a goal in the 60th minute to lead, 2-0, until late in the game. Pomona-Pitzer's Voja Maric (pictured) scored an unassisted goal with four minutes left to put the Sagehens on the scoreboard.
Chapman outshot Pomona-Pitzer, 13-4, and Sagehen goalie Ben Mitchell had two saves.
