Redlands, Calif. - Redlands scored early in the first half, and the lone goal stood up, as the Bulldogs defeated Pomona-Pitzer, 1-0, in a Sagehen road match Saturday evening. Pomona-Pitzer has lost two straight, and now stands at 8-6 overall and 6-4 in SCIAC (3rd). Redlands moves to 7-3-2 overall and 6-3-1 in SCIAC (2nd).

Redlands' Savannah Laursen scored on an unassisted goal in the 17th minute of the first half off of a free kick 35 yards out for the game's only goal. The two squads shot evenly, with Redlands taking 11 shots to Pomona-Pitzer's 10. Sagehen Danika Bethune (pictured) attempted three shots to lead Pomona-Pitzer. Goalie Corey Goelz faced two shots-on-goal and had a single save in 90 minutes. 

Pomona-Pitzer travels to Occidental Wednesday for a 7:00pm match.
