Men's Water Polo Completes Convergence With 12-10 Win Over Fresno Pacific

Claremont, Calif. - Five different players scored goals in a 5-0 run as the Pomona-Pitzer Men's Water Polo team defeated Fresno Pacific 12-10 in its final game of the Claremont Convergence at Haldeman Pool.

Jaron Moler (Carmichael, Calif. - pictured) led the way for the Saghens with three goals, as Pomona-Pitzer improved to 4-13 on the season, including 3-1 at the Convergence.

Fresno Pacific led 6-5 late in the second quarter, before freshman Stephen Vint (El Cajon, Calif.) tied the game up with his second goal of the game to make the score 6-6 heading into the break.

The Sagehens then scored the first four goals of the second half, as junior Mark Hudnall (Los Altos, Calif.), freshman Travis Larsen (Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.), Moler, and sophomore Dylan O'Connell (River Forest, Ill.) pushed the lead up to 10-6. Fresno Pacific got as close as two goals in the fourth quarter, but Moler added two more goals to help put the game away.

The Sagehens will next be in action when they host a pair of exhibition games against Citrus College and Chaffey College this Wednesday at Haldeman Pool.
