Johnson is entering his second year as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Services at Pomona-Pitzer Athletics. Johnson previously served one year as an Athletic Administrative Assistant before taking on the responsibilities of Compliance and Student-Athlete Services.
Johnson previously served as an Educational Advisor for the Upward Bound Program & Athletic Department for Pasadena City College where he monitored participant involvement and maintained appropriate documentation of participant records in student files. He also assisted with maintaining student computer databases and helped track students/athletes upon graduation.
Johnson also served an Internship at John Muir High School where he assisted the Athletic Director with Athletic Department finances including operating budget, athletic ASB accounts, and athletic fundraising, monitored student-athlete academic progress and involvement as necessary for athletic eligibility and requirements, assisted with maintaining student-athlete computer database and help to track student-athletes upon graduation and assisted the Athletic Director when needed with sporting events, arranging athletic transportation, scheduling games, managing game officials.
Johnson also worked as a Community Wellness Specialist for Hathaway-Sycamores Child & Family Services and worked as an Admissions Assistant for California State Polytechnic University.
He graduated with a Masters of Arts: Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University, Irvine and a Bachelor’s of Science: Communications from California State Polytechnic University with an emphasis in Public Relations.
