TRINITY, TX. – The Pomona-Pitzer Swimming and Diving program will be having two representatives competing in the NCAA Diving Regionals on Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3 hosted by Trinity University. Bilguun Altantulkhuur from the men's program and Emma van der Veen from the women's team will be looking to punch their tickets to Indianapolis, Indiana for the NCAA Championships.
Altantulkhuur set the Sagehens record in the one-meter dive with a score of 497.45 back on February 23 at the SCIAC Championship meet. His score placed him in second at the meet. He also set the school record in the three-meter dive on February 21 at the same meet with a score of 464.85 to take third place.
Van der Veen took third place in the one-meter dive at the SCIAC Championship meet, scoring 423.55 to make the NCAA B Cut. She also posted a mark of 432.25 in the three-meter dive in the final day of the SCIAC Meet to take second place.
Should both divers make the qualifying marks at the regionals, they will join Will Abele, Ryan Drover, Mark Hallman, Adrian Hui, Nikhil Kundu, Lukas Ming Menkhoff, Liam O'Shea, Samuel To, Mackenzie Cummings, Kate Denend, Sarah Jin, Maddie Kauahi, Sabrina Kwan, Angela Ling, Alex Seidel, and Hannah Zurmuhl at the NCAA Championships on March 21st.
