Pomona-Pitzer Athletics

At Pomona-Pitzer: Completed her first season as a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Women’s Swimming and Diving team, where she competes in the distance freestyle events…School record holder in the 1650 (17:13.64) and the 1000 (10:18.96), while ranking ninth in the 200 free (1:55.54). 

2014-15: SCIAC Champion (500, 1650, 800 free relay)...National qualifier (800 free relay)...SCIAC Newcomer of the Year...Won three events at the SCIAC Championships, setting a school record in the 1650 with a 17:13.64 to win by over 11 seconds...Led a 1-2-3 finish for the Sagehens in the 500 free, winning in 5:00.00 flat (just .09 off the school and SCIAC record)...Also finished sixth in the 200 free with a 1:55.54...Undefeated in dual meets during the regular season in both distance events.

High School: Attended Chandler High School in Arizona, where she was a member of the swim team…Served as team captain…Top eight finisher at Arizona state meet…AP Scholar and Distinguished Scholar award recipient…Also swam for Arizona Gold Swimming club, where she was a top five finisher at Western Sectionals and qualified for junior nationals.

Personal: Attends Pomona College, where she is an economics major…Has a younger brother…Favorite movies are Say Anything and (500) Days of Summer…Chose Pomona for the “Perfect location, small size, emphasis on studying in many different subject areas, D3 sports, and study abroad and internship opportunities.”
