Men's Tennis: Marko Mandic Tabbed SCIAC Athlete Of The Week

CLAREMONT, CA. – Pomona-Pitzer junior Marko Mandic has been tabbed as the Men's Tennis Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Athlete of the week as announced by the league office today.

Mandic earned SCIAC Athlete of the Week for men's tennis for the first time this season as the junior opened the season going a perfect 4-0 in singles with wins over Gust. Adolphus, Pacific (Ore.), Whitman and Cal Lutheran. The junior picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at the No. 4 singles spot against Gust. Adolphus, a 7-6, 6-3 win at No. 5 against Whitman and a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2 against Pacific (Ore.) He scored two wins in Pomona-Pitzer's 9-0 victory over CLU with a 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles and a 6-0,6-4 victory at No. 4 singles.

The Sagehens are currently ranked No. 9 overall this season with a 4-1 record.
