2012-13 (track): All-SCIAC (1500 meters)...SCIAC All-Academic team...Finished in fifth place in the 1500 (out of 35 competitors) at the SCIAC Track and Field Championships with a time of 4:01.33...2012-13 (Cross Country): All-West Region selection...SCIAC All-Academic team...Was one of the top five runners on the Sagehens, earning a spot on the team at the NCAA West Regionals and the NCAA Division III Championships...Came in 21st place out of 134 runners at the 2012 SCIAC Championships with a 27:09.88...Was 33rd at the NCAA West Regionals (out of 126) with a personal-best 25:42.20...Ran a 26:50.90 at the NCAA Division III Championships.

2011-12 (track): All-SCIAC (1500 meters)...Finished fifth in the 1500 at the SCIAC Championships. 

High School: Attended Mount Vernon High School, where he ran on the cross country and track teams, earning letters all four years, and serving as a captain of both sports as a senior...Was a three-time state qualifier in track, and a two-time state qualifier in cross country...Finished in 16th place in the 2A 3200m race in the state championships as a junior...As a senior, was named all-conference in both cross country and track...Was a district champion in both the 1600m and 3200m and earned a tenth place finish in the state in the 3200 and 14th in the state in the 1600...Personal records include 2:01 in the 800, 4:34 in the 1600 and 9:46 in the 3200...Also an AP scholar and a member of the Honor Society.

Personal: Attending Pomona College, where he has a dual major in English and media studies, with a specialization in 19th Century American Literature, and the Southern Grotesque/ Gothic...Academic All-America candidate...Has two brothers...Father ran track at Davidson College in North Carolina...Hobbies include writing, reading, guitar and piano...Favorite athlete is Sir Philip Sydney...Lists The Elephant Man as his favorite movie and Winesburg, Ohio by Sherwood Anderson as his favorite book...Lists British Novel: Behn to Austen taught by Aaron Kunin as the most interesting course he has taken while at Pomona...Chose Pomona "because of its ideal location, situated within reach of Los Angeles but also possessing the comforting merits of a small town. Additionally, its academic reputation is phenomenal. My interest in film and media studies will undoubtedly flourish here with on and off campus opportunities.
