At Pomona-Pitzer: Completed his first season as a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Track and Field team...2013: SCIAC All-Academic team...Joined the Sagehens Men's Track and Field team in 2013, where he competes in the jumps...Finished tied for ninth in the high jump at the 2013 SCIAC Championships with a jump of 5-7.75...Also a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Swimming team...Competed in the 200-yard backstroke at the 2012 SCIAC Championships, finishing with a 2:04.35...High School: Attended Albuquerque (N.M.) Academy, where he competed on the swimming team...Personal: Attends Pitzer College, where he has a dual major in political studies and environmental analysis, as well as a minor in Spanish...Has a particular interest in environmental policy...Lists "US Environmental Policy" as the most interesting course he has taken while at Pitzer...Spent the summer of 2013 as the head coach of a summer swim program of 80 kids ("Building up a program is no easy task and I had to make mistakes to learn where my weaknesses were. The take away message for my experience is that you have to push yourself to be better every single day. Set the bar a little higher everyday and see if you can reach it.
