Pomona-Pitzer Athletics

Coach Bazakas returns to Pomona-Pitzer after a stellar throwing career as a Sagehen. Bazakas graduated from Pomona College in 2021 with a double major in Economics and Philosophy, and he was a member of the Pomona-Pitzer team from 2017-2021. Bazakas competed in the Discus, Shot Put and Hammer Throw events as a Sagehen, and his favorite event is Discus. Bazakas has received USATF Level 1 certification, and spent a year as the Throws Coach at Berkeley High School in California in 2022. Bazakas attended Berkeley High School, where he was on the Track and Field team and threw discus and shotput from 2014-2017.
