Biography

At Pomona-Pitzer: Entering his senior season as a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Men’s Tennis team.

2017-18: Played primarily in no. 3 and 4 singles...compiled a 15-11 record in singles...reached quarterfinals of the Ojai Tournament.

2016-17: Played primarily at No. 5 singles and No. 2 doubles...Compiled an 18-5 record in singles and 6-6 in doubles.

2016: SCIAC All-Academic team. Played at No. 2 and 3 doubles mostly with partner and brother Sam Gearou where he tallied a 12-5 record and played at No. 6 singles where he held a 12-7 record.

High School: Attended Elk River High School in Minnesota, where he was a member of the tennis and cross country teams…Helped the Elks to a 2012 state championship…Finished second in the 2015 Minnesota state singles tournament…Finished ranked third in his class academically.

Personal: Attends Pomona College, where he majors in computer science…Has a twin brother, Sam, who is also a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Men’s Tennis team…Also has a younger brother and three sisters…Lists Roger Federer as his favorite athlete…Hobbies include computer programming, golf and fishing…J.K. Rowling is the public figure he most admires.
