Biography

2018: Entering her senior season with the Pomona-Pitzer Women's Cross Country Team...ran track & field in the 2017-18 season. Ran a 5k XC time of 21:41 at the UC Riverside Invite in September. 

High School: Was a member of College Prep's Varsity Cross Country and Swim teams for four years...Three-time CIF State Cross Country Championship qualifier (2014-2016) and two time North Coast Section Swimming and Diving Championship qualifier (2016, 2017)...Received the Cross Country North Coast Section Scholastic Team Award twice (2014, 2015)...Was a National Merit Scholarship Program Commended Student and received the Jessica Saal Fellowship award from the Stanford Institutes of Medicine Research (SIMR) Program.

Personal: Currently a junior at Pomona College as a Molecular Biology major...parents are Richard and Donna Castro...both parents graduated from Pomona College
