Biography

At Pomona-Pitzer: Entering her senior season as a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Women’s Swimming and Diving team, where she competes in the middle distance freestyle events, as well as the backstroke and IM...Part of a school record in the 800 free relay (7:35.59) which earned her an NCAA qualification...Ranks second in school history in the 400 IM (4:33.68), third in the 200 back (2:06.27) and fourth in the 500 free (5:02.11). 

2014-15: SCIAC Champion (400 IM, 800 free relay)...All-SCIAC (500 free)...Honorable mention All-American (800 free relay)...CSCAA Scholar All-American...Earned an individual SCIAC title in the 400-yard individual medley with a 4:33.68, ranking second in program history...Also helped the 800 free relay team defend its SCIAC title and earn an NCAA qualification with a 7:37.57...Finished third in the 500 free in 5:03.09, part of a 1-2-3 finish for the Sagehens in that event (also swam a 5:02.11 in prelims to rank fourth in program history)...Qualified for the finals in the 200 back, finishing fifth, while moving into third place in Pomona-Pitzer annals with a 2:06.27.

High School: Attended Rock Canyon High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, where she was a member of the swim team…Served as team captain as a senior…Earned NISCA Speedo All-American Academic Award in 2013-14…2014 Douglas County School District Women In Sports Award recipient…Participated in the states with Rock Canyon all four years…Colorado Academic All-State team all four years…NISCA Top 16 Finalist in Colorado 5A State Championships in individual events/relays all four years…All-Continental League Athlete Award for placing second in 500 free at Continental League High School Swimming Championships in 2014...Top six finalist in Continental League all four years in high school in the 200 free, 500 free and 100 back…National AP Scholar with Distinction… Graduated with highest academic honors (4.0 and above)…Secretary of French National Honor Society…National Honor Society…Academic varsity letterman all 4 years…Also swam for the University of Denver Hilltoppers club team, competing in the sectionals for three years.

Personal: Attends Pomona College…Has one brother and one sister…Sister, Madison, swims for Loyola Marymount University…Hobbies include running, reading, intramural inner tube water polo, and hiking…Favorite athletes include Champ Bailey, Missy Franklin, Katie Ledecky, and Peyton Manning…Favorite books are The Fault in Our Stars, 1984, and To Kill a Mockingbird, while favorite movies include Harry Potter, Titanic, Father of the Bride, and Hunger Games…Lists Stephen Hawking and Ellen DeGeneres as the public figures she most admires…Has over 200 regular volunteer service hours, including with the Denver Dumb Friends League Animal Shelter and the Buddy Center in Castle Rock, Colorado…Chose Pomona for “the challenges, the swim team, and the school feels like home.
