WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Pomona-Pitzer men's golf captured the team title at the Williams College Fall Invitational, finishing first at 25-over par at Taconic Golf Club.
After opening the three-round tournament with a 17-over 287, the Sagehens bounced back with a two-under 268 in the second round. Pomona-Pitzer then closed out the tournament with a 10-over 280 in a rainy round three to close at 25-over par, finishing 11 strokes ahead of runner-up Trinity (CT), which finished at 36-over. Babson placed third at 38-over, followed by Amherst at 39-over.
Ken Cremers led the Sagehens individually, tying for third at four-over par. Cremers opened with a three-over round before shooting a two-under second round and a three-over final round. Ryan Herbst finished tied for sixth at six-over par, carding rounds of two-over, even par and four-over.
Arun Padam Mehta tied for 11th at eight-over par, posting rounds of four-over, even par and four-over. Sean Yu finished tied for 20th at 13-over par, with rounds of eight-over, six-over and one-under. Alexander Oh rounded out the Sagehens' scoring lineup, tying for 65th at 25-over par after rounds of 14-over, even par and 11-over.
