VENTURA, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer men's golf earned a second-place team finish at the CA State Intercollegiate at Olivas Links, finishing the three-round tournament at 14-under par.

The Sagehens finished four strokes behind tournament champion Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, which finished at 28-under par. Pomona-Pitzer carded rounds of four-under, four-under and six-under to close the tournament at 14-under. Occidental and Redlands tied for third at nine-under par, while Lewis & Clark finished fifth at even par.

Ryan Herbst led Pomona-Pitzer individually, tying for second place at nine-under par. Herbst opened with a three-under 69 before firing a six-under 66 in the second round and finishing even par in the third. Arun Padam Mehta and Sean Yu both finished tied for sixth at five-under par. Mehta posted rounds of six-under, one-over and even par, while Yu finished with rounds of one-under, two-under and two-under.

Alexander Oh finished tied for 13th at one-under par, carding rounds of two-over, three-under and even par. Ken Cremers finished tied for 20th at one-over, posting an even-par first round, a one-over second round and an even-par final round. Aidan McGreen competed individually and finished tied for 17th at even par.
