PALM DESERT, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer women's golf earned a sixth-place team finish at the NCAA Championships after firing a combined three-over par in Friday's fourth and final round.
The Sagehens carded their best round of the tournament Friday, finishing the four-day tournament at 33-over par. They finished three 31 strokes back of the winner Emory and three strokes ahead of Sixth Street Rival CMS.
Annabelle Chan led Pomona-Pitzer Friday with a three-under 69, posting four birdies on the day and just one bogey. She finished in 11th place individually at two-over par.
Eunice Yi and
Ottavia Lombardo both finished the tournament tied for 46th at 16-over. Yi carded a two-over 74 Friday while Lombardo posted a seven-over.
Riley Wang and
Rachel LeMay both finished tied for 49th individually at 17-over par. Both Wang and LeMay carded rounds of two-over 74 Friday in the fourth and final round.
The sixth place team finish is the Sagehens' best at the NCAA Championships since 2023-24, when they earned a third-place finish. Last season, Pomona-Pitzer finished in ninth place overall.
