La Crosse, WI — Sagehen men's track & field posted strong marks in three events Friday during the middle day of the 2026 NCAA Division III Championships in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
SCIAC Champion
William Marquart finished 17th in the Shot Put with a toss of 16.26 meters (53' 4.25"). Marquart finishes his P-P throwing career with the second-best Shot Put throw in program history, and top-10 marks in all throwing events.
John Bard took the lead in lap one of the 800m and took his heat through in 53.17 before dropping back to finish 7th in 1:52.60, ending up 18th overall among three heats. Bard entered the meet with a best of 1:49.82 - the number 4 time in program history.

Matthew Yen,
Ezra Satran,
Harrison Brown, and
Samuel Butler clocked 41.12 to finish 14th overall to earn Second Team All-American honors.
Sophomore
Jefferson Wright will be the lone Sagehen competing in Saturday's finals. Wright, the SCIAC champion, will contest the 1500 meters at 1:35pm Central Time after qualifying at 3:51.12 on Thursday. Wright's best in the event is 3:43.74, which came in late April.
