CLAREMONT, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer men's track and field will feature eight student-athletes across five events at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 21-23 in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
John Bard will participate in the 800m with the 11th fastest time nationally. Bard ran a personal-best 1:49.82 at the APU Franson Last Chance, the fourth fastest time in program history.
Jefferson Wright will run in the 1500m after achieving the third fastest time throughout Division III. Wright also ran a personal-best in the event at APU, clocking a 3:43.74 which is the third fastest in team history.
Jack Stein will run in the 10000m with the eighth fastest time heading into the race. Stein clocked a program record 29:33.63 at the APU Franson Last Chance. The Sagehens will also send their 4x100m relay team to Nationals, composed of
Matthew Yen,
Ezra Satran,
Harrison Brown and
Gavin Doig. The group holds the 10th fastest seed time of 40.75, the second fastest in program history.
William Marquart will represent Pomona-Pitzer's field athletes in the shot put. Marquart holds the 18th furthest mark in the nation of 17.09m, a personal-best and the No. 2 furthest in program history which he achieved at the SCIAC Quad Meet Championship.
