Matheis, Clement Named CSC Academic All-America Second Team

CLAREMONT, Calif. — Tommy Matheis and Adrian Clement were named CSC Academic All-America Second Team members, announced Wednesday. 
 
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. Student-athletes must meet minimum standards in athletic participation and cumulative grade point average to be recognized. 
 
Matheis was named SCIAC Diver of the Year for the second consecutive season. He won the 3m diving at the SCIAC Championships with a 535.15 and finished second in the 1m diving with a score of 517.90. He qualified for the NCAA Championships where he finished seventh in the 1m diving to earn All-American honors and placed ninth in the 3m diving. 
 
Clement finished second in the 50 free at the conference championships, sixth in the 200 free and eighth in the 100 free. He was also part of the winning 200 free relay, 400 free relay and 200 medley relay teams as well as the second place 800 free relay at the SCIAC Championships. He also qualified for the NCAA Championships, where he was part of the ninth place 200 medley relay, 12th place 200 free relay and 400 free relay as well as the 14th place 800 free relay. The results earned him All-America Honorable Mention honors. 
 
Pomona-Pitzer won its first SCIAC Championship this season since 2019 and finished 16th at the NCAA Championships.
