CLAREMONT, Calif. — Competing at home among 1400 athletes, Pomona-Pitzer's women's track and field team recorded numerous personal bests at the 2026 Pomona-Pitzer Track & Field Invite on Strehle Track.
First-year
Siobhan Ong equaled the program record in the pole vault by clearing 10-11.75 (3.35 meters) to place sixth. Teammate
Sol Gomez cleared 9-6.25 to record the equal No. 7 all-time mark in program history.
Rhiannon Root clocked 59.48 in the 400 meters to dip under the one-minute barrier.
Megan Walter ran a six-second personal best of 4:43.37 in the 1500 meters to finish 9th out of 118 finishers in that event.
Elizabeth Newman followed in 13th with 4:48.53. Magnolia Hougan secured 15th in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 12:47.54.
Felicia Akinde took 31st in the 100m with a time of 12.86, and Kensington Binstadt followed in 38th with 13.01. Binstadt also took 45th in the 200-meter with 27.14 and
Anna Marston placed 46th with 27.23.
Kendrick Dahlin took 18th in the 400-meter Hurdles with 1:09.77.
Elizabeth Newman placed 23rd in the 800m with 2:22.89. Pomona-Pitzer placed sixth in the 4x100m relay with a time of 50.84.
Elsa Brandt cleared 4-11.5 in the high jump to finish in fifth place, with teammate
Natalia Cossio also cleared 4-11.5 for ninth.
Ellie Chi spanned 17-00 in the long jump for eighth, and
Ella Bowers finished seventh in the triple jump at 36-9.5. Thrower
Olivia Rosenthal recorded two personal bests in the shot put (25' 8.25") and hammer throw (98' 11"). Harper Casey-Housand placed 28th in the Javelin with a 72' 10".
The women's team will send athletes to both the Azusa Pacific Bryan Clay Invite and the La Verne Leopard Invite this coming weekend.
