OXNARD, CA — Pomona-Pitzer men's golf finished in third place at SCIAC 1.
The Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens remained steady on Sunday, finishing on the podium in the first iteration of conference play. The winds kicked up on Sunday, giving a more difficult test to the players, with scores reflecting this change.
Freshman
Ken Cremers led the way for the Sagehens once again with a gritty one-over 73. Despite facing a left miss, Ken was armed with a great strategy that allowed him to keep his score low. He judged the wind well, and found himself atop the leaderboard after 14 holes, at 5-under par. He stumbled a bit coming in, finishing in 4th individually, but it would be another top 5 finish for the young phenom, and an assurance he can compete with the best of the conference.
Freshman
Aidan McGreen responded well to a tough day one with an impressive +1 73. McGreen put up four birdies on the day, including on the difficult 17th. Senior
John Kim and Sophomore
Andrew Lim both notched 78s on day two, taking in 5 birdies collectively.
Senior
Colin Elias rounded out the lineup with an 82, after a difficult mid-round stretch. Junior Alex Oh, competing as an individual, responded from a poor start to finish strong, coming in with a 79.
