CLAREMONT, CA — The Sagehens competed well in the P-P David Salo & Nancy Crenna College Invite on Saturday. The Sagehens placed second in the 4x100-meter just behind Occidental with a time of 43.33 seconds. Pomona-Pitzer's "A" and "B" team took first and third with in the 4x400 meter relay with times of 3:23.15 and 3:34.43, respectively. Will Bigler finished third in the 200-meter dash with 22.54. Kirk Lord finished fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.14. Doty Alexander took second in the 800-meter run at a time of 1:59.58. Peter Neid placed third in the 1 mile run with 4:14.79. Matthew Yen placed first in the long jump at 21'11". In the throwing events, Will Marquart recorded two amazing throws. Marquart took first in the shot put event with a heave of 53'06" and second in the discus throw event with 150'1".
