RIVERSIDE, CA — No. 4 Pomona-Pitzer emerged victorious at the West Coast Classic Tuesday.
After starting the day five back, the Sagehens bore down for a gritty victory, aided by a strong push on the back nine. The impressive win was magnified by the Pomona Pitzer "B" squad, which finished third, losing to second place Redlands by only one shot.
Eunice Yi led the way with an individual runner-up finish. Steady as usual, she fired three birdies on her way to a team best 73 on the day.
Ann Zhao responded to a tough day one with a 73. The nation's No. 4 had two birdies and 14 pars on the day.
Annabelle Chan continued her stellar play with a day two 74. Her three birdies and steady play were good enough for an individual third place finish.
Lisa Chu and
Rachel LeMay rounded out the lineup with a 76 and 78, respectively.
Malia Loo had the round of the day for the Hens, firing a field-high five birdies en route to an even par round. She led the B team, showcasing her ability to go low, tying for third individually for the weekend.
Riley Wang, competing as an individual also had a steady round, with 14 pars en route to a +2 74.
Ottavia Lombardo also played steady with a 77, good enough for a top ten finish.

Kashish Malik rounded out the deep squad with 77, 77, 80 and 81.
