NORTHFIELD, Minn. — Pomona-Pitzer women's cross country earned a ninth place team finish Saturday at the NCAA DIII Pre-Nationals.
Maggie Avey led the way for the Sagehens with a 31st individual finish, racing a time of 22:07.0.
Megan Walter followed in 50th with a 22:26.3, while
Lili Maycock took 65th with a time of 22:36.0.
Eva Novy-Hildesley finished 84th individually after racing a 22:47.8 and
Anna Hirsch rounded out the team's top-five finishers, placing 88th with a 22:49.2.
Fiona Bodkin came in 105th place after clocking in at 22:58.3.
Kendall Madine followed in 126th with a 23:10.0 and
Caroline Struby took 139th with a 23:15.7. Magnolia Hougan closed out the Sagehens' competitors, racing a 26:35.1 to finish 316th.
As a team, Pomona-Pitzer finished ninth with a total of 296 points. The Sagehens will now host the Pomona-Pitzer XC Invite next Saturday, Oct. 10.
