MADISON, WI – No. 4 Pomona-Pitzer completed a 50-shot rout at the UW-Whitewater Fall Invite Monday.
The Sagehens dominated the field this weekend at TPC Wisconsin, winning by 50 shots over two days over the second-place finisher, UW-Stout. Individually, they had four hens competing for the top spot, ultimately placing first, second, third and T4th in succession on the podium. This finish cemented their spot as one of the best teams in the country.
The individual race went down to the wire, with
Ann Zhao and
Annabelle Chan competing for the victory. Four shots clear of the rest of the field, they piled on birdies once again in round two. Zhao had five birdies, including the decider at the 18th, for her first individual victory. Chan battled back from a triple on the first with six birdies for the silver medal finish.
Lisa Chu and
Eunice Yi finished right after Zhao and Chan, placing ahead of the field at 3rd and 4th, respectively. Chu had three birdies on the day, and Yi had a pair in succession on 12 and 13.
Federica Domecq Lacroze rounded out the dominant victory with a T14th-place finish, picking up a birdie on the 16th.
