Women’s XC Places Third at CSU San Marcos Cougar Challenge

SAN MARCOS, Calif. — The Sagehens women's cross-country team placed third in the 2025 CSU San Marcos Cougar Challenge on Saturday morning, its first competition of the season.

The Sagehens totaled 100 points with three runners finishing in the top 20. The team finished third behind meet winner Cal Poly Pomona (33) and second place Point Loma (38).

Joya Terdiman led the Sagehens with a 12th place individual finish, running a time of 21:34.1. Fiona Bodkin followed in 17th with a time of 21:51.9 while Eva Novy-Hildesley took 18th after racing a 21:52.1.

Megan Walter raced to a 27th place individual finish, clocking in at 22:02.7, while Kate Sherry finished 36th with a 22:10.6. Maggie Avey finished 39th with a 22:15.4 and Rhea Braganza took 47th with a 22:38.3.

Up Next: The Sagehens will compete next at the UC Riverside Invite on Saturday, September 27th, at 7:30 a.m.
