PASADENA, CA – The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Tennis fell to Caltech with a score of 2-5 on Saturday on the road.

Season Impact: With the loss, the Sagehens are 12-7 overall and 4-1 in SCIAC play.

The Sagehens lost 2-5 in a SCIAC matchup against Caltech on the road. The Sagehens came out strong in doubles, securing the lone point with victories on courts two and three. Luke Feng and Sam English edged out their opponents in a tense 7–6 (7–0) tiebreak at No. 2 doubles, while Neil Chulani and Ethan Lee posted a 6–4 win at the No. 3 spot. Despite a hard-fought effort, Drew Goldman and Jay Mallampati fell in a close battle at No. 1, dropping the tiebreak 10–8.

In singles play, Caltech flipped the momentum, winning five of six matches. At No. 1 singles, Goldman was forced to retire midway through the first set, handing the Beavers the point. Ethan Lee fell 5–7, 2–6, on court two. The Sagehens lone singles victory came from Luke Feng at No. 3, who cruised to a 6–2, 6–1 win. From there, Caltech controlled the remaining courts. The Beavers walked away with the 5–2 win over the Sagehens.
