Women’s Track and Field Shines at Bryan Clay, Leopard Invite, Mt. SAC

CLAREMONT, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer men's and women's track and field competed at three different meets over Thursday and Friday, with athletes at the Bryan Clay Invite at Azusa Pacific, the Leopard Invitational at La Verne, and at the Mt. SAC Relays.

At APU, sophomore Quinn White ran a superb 3:43.58 to win the 1500-meter Open A section. White's time is #2 in program history and stands #11 on the all-time D3. White took the lead with just less than a lap to go and clocked a 42.7 closing 300 meters to win going away. John Bard ran 1:54.31 in the 800 meters and Jeff Wright ran 3:51.78 in the 1500 meters, with both recording personal bests. Senior Cameron Hatler ran 14:09.78 in the 5000 meters for a personal best and the #6 all-time mark in program history.

On the national descending order lists, White stands third in the 1500 and seventh in the 5000, and Hatler stands 12th in the 5000, 12th in the 10,000 and 13th in the 3000-meter Steeplechase. Senior Oscar Roering stands fourth in the 800 meters at 1:49.50 from a week prior.

For the women at APU, Senior Olivia Reichle clocked 2:17.64 for an 800-meter personal best and the #9 mark in program history, while sophomore Megan Walter clocked a personal best 4:52.90 in the 1500. In the 5000 meters, Mira Terdiman (17:33.80) and Fiona Bodkin (17:34.41) ran personal bests and the #8 and #9 marks in program history.

At the Leopard Invite, first-years Ryan Jabro ran a personal best 2:03.13 in the 800 meters, Owen Irving ran a personal best 14:50.88 in the 5000 meters, and Nate Wehner ran a personal best 9:23.70 in the 3000-meter Steeplechase. Senior Erubey Lopez took third in the Triple Jump at 39'1.25".  For the women, Anna Marston recorded a personal best 60.43 in the 400 meters, Natasha Ong dipped under the 5-minute barrier with a personal best 4:57.26 in the 1500 meters, Lili Maycock (18:24.79) and Ameya Teli (18:28.30) both clocked personal bests in the 5000 meters, and Kendall Madine ran a personal best and #6 all-time program mark in the 3000 meter Steeplechase at 11:43.75. Natalia Cossio (4'9.5") took fourth in the High Jump, and Felicia Akinde (16'7.25") took seventh in the Long Jump. Elsa Van Dyke notched a personal best of 35'11.5" in the Triple Jump to take second – 9th all-time in program history.

At Mt. SAC, the women's 4x100 meter Relay squad of Olivia Richards, Olivia Reichle, Kensington Binstadt and Kat Kirkpatrick clocked 48.07 for 8th in the College/Open division.

The squad next heads to the 2025 SCIAC Championships hosted by Occidental this coming Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27.
