CLAREMONT, Calif. — Sagehen women's track and field posted a series of top-five finishes, including a program record, at the home Pomona-Pitzer Invitational Saturday.
The Sagehens' 4x100m relay "A" team of
Olivia Richards,
Olivia Reichle, Kensington Binstadt and Kat Kirkpatrick started the day with a program record-setting time of 47.80, finishing second in the event. Kirkpatrick then finished 13th in the 100m, racing a time of 12.47. She also placed sixth in the 200m after clocking in at 25.02.
Pomona-Pitzer's 4x400m relay team, built of Kirkpatrick,
Anna Marston, Binstadt and Reichle, earned a third-place finish in the event with a time of 3:56.36.
In the field events,
Natalia Cossio tied for ninth after clearing a height of 1.50m in the high jump.
Caiya Niewinski (37.58m) and
Logan Spoonemore (35.96m) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the javelin.
Ella Bowers placed fourth in the long jump after posting a mark of 5.49m. Bowers also finished second in the triple jump to wrap up competition, securing a mark of 12.01m.
