LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer women's track and field had a number of strong performances Saturday at the Oxy Distance Carnival-Spring Break Classic.
Logan Spoonemore earned the Sagehens' lone event win of the day, winning the javelin with a mark of 35.28m.
Caiya Niewinski followed in second with a 33.66m. In the women's triple jump,
Ella Bowers earned a second-place finish with a mark of 11.29m.
Elsa Van Dyke finished sixth with a mark of 10.80m.
Maggie Avey finished ninth in the 1500m, running a time of 4:47.36.
Olivia Reichle earned a 13th-place finish in the 800m after clocking in at 2:18.08.
Tania Rachidi followed in 15th with a time of 2:19.05.
Ellie Chi took 17th in the 100m with a 13.32 while
Felicia Akinde took 18th with a 13.35.
