Elsa Van Dyke won the triple jump while
Caiya Niewinski finished fourth in the javelin to lead Pomona-Pitzer women's track and field at the Redlands Invitational Friday.
Van Dyke posted a mark of 10.92m (35' 10") on her second attempt to win the triple jump by more than 0.80m. She also earned a fourth place finish in the long jump with a mark of 4.65m (15' 3.25").
Niewinski earned a fourth-place finish in the javelin after throwing 34.62m (113' 7") on her first attempt.
Meagan Lesser finished 10th in the event while
Eliana Katz placed 13th. Katz finished 13th in the shot put with a mark of 7.33m and 15th in the discus after throwing 22.71m. Lesser followed in the discus with a 16th-place finish after throwing 20.36m. Katz also placed 14th in the hammer with a throw of 28.15m.
