LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer men's track and field opened the 2025 season with a series of strong performances at Occidental College Saturday afternoon.
William Marquart posted the first event win of the day for the Sagehens, winning the hammer throw with a mark of 41.75m.
John Goodwin won the javelin after tossing for a mark of 45.20m.
Ryaan Amanat secured the win in the triple jump, recording a 12.53m. Marquart also won the discus with a mark of 36.94m. He secured his third win of the meet in the shot put with a 13.52m.
The Sagehens' "A" 4x800m relay squad finished second in the event, running for a time of 8:17.71. Pomona-Pitzer also took second in the 4x100m relay with a 47.05.
Rafayel Charkoudian-Rogers placed second in the 300m hurdles with a 43.38 while
Kellen O'Rourke took second in the 400m with a 52.26.
The Saghens also earned silver in the mixed 4x400m relay, with their "B" team running a 3:49.76. In total, Occidental earned 56 points while the Sagehens posted 49.
