Box Score THOUSAND OAKS, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Men's tennis team started out with a clean 7-0 sweep of Cal Lutheran in their first SCIAC contest of the year.
The Sagehens started out with all three doubles wins to claim the doubles point. Leo Roccca and
Drew Goldman won at the No. 1 position 6-4,
Ethan Lee and
Neil Chulani won at No. 2 by 6-4 also while
Sam English and
Luke Feng won at No. 3 6-1.
The Sagehens continued their dominance into singles play winning all six singles matches against the Kingsmen. Goldman doubled his wins on the day with a singles win at the No. 1 spot 6-1, 6-4. Lee, English and Feng also earned singles wins as well as Lee won a three-setter 4-6, 6-2, 6-1, English 7-5, 6-4 and Feng 6-3, 6-4.
The Sagehens also got wins from
Andrew Andea at No. 3 singles by the score of 6-1, 6-0 and
John Wehrle at No. 6 6-3, 6-4.
