CLAREMONT, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer women's track and field posted a series of strong performances Saturday at the Rossi Relays at CMS.
The Sagehens' 4x100m relay team started the meet with a fourth place finish, racing to a time of 48.18 which is the second fastest in program history. Kat Kirkpatrick then earned bronze in the 100m with a time of 12.20, tying the program record set by Ailene Nguyen in 2014. Pomona-Pitzer's 4000 distance medley relay squad finished fourth in its event after clocking a 12:29.97, which is the fourth fastest all time. The Sagehens' 800 sprint medley relay team clocked a 2:00.62 to place 17th, the sixth fastest in program history.
Katie Cline placed 12th in the 3000m with a 10:34.46, while
Chloe Connolly finished 16th,
Ameya Teli 20th and
Lili Maycock 27th.
In the field events,
Elsa Van Dyke placed 16th in the long jump after posting a mark of 4.95m. Caiya Niwinski finished 10th in the javelin after throwing for a mark of 32.15m.
Eliana Katz finished 18th with a mark of 22.94m.
