CLAREMONT, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer men's track and field strung together a series of strong performances Saturday at home in the David Salo and Nancy Crenna Invitational.
Raffi Charkoudian-Rogers started the track events with a third place finish in the 110m hurdles, racing a time of 16.85.
Will Bigler then won the 400m dash after clocking in at 49.68.
Harrison Brown posted a win of his own in the 100m, posting a time of 11.20.
Chris Taylor followed in third with a 11.28.
Brown secured another win in the 200m, running a 22.08 and narrowly beating teammate
Gavin Doig who clocked a 22.10. Bigler came in fifth with a 22.41.
Jefferson Wright came in second in the one mile run, posting a time of 4:17.56. Pomona-Pitzer's "A" squad in the 4x400m relay then placed third after clocking a 3:31.30.
In the field events,
William Marquart took fifth in the javelin with a mark of 49.33m. Marquart also placed fifth in the shot put with a throw of 13.80m.
Jack Paradis won the high jump with a clearance of 1.95m on his third attempt. Ryan Amanat earned silver in the triple jump with a 12.65m. Marquart then wrapped things up with a fourth-place finish in the discus, posting a 39.36m.
