ROCK ISLAND, IL & RIVERSIDE, CA — The Pomona-Pitzer women's cross country team continued its season by finishing 7th in the Augustana XC Invite in Illinois and 24th in the UCR Highlander Invite in Riverside on Saturday Morning.
AUGUSTANA (IL) XC INVITE - 7th Place
The Sagehens totaled 261 points in the thirty-six-team competition with two runners finishing in the top fifty. The team trailed four points behind Wartburg, who totaled 257 points.
Joya Terdiman led Pomona-Pitzer with a 24th place individual finish, running a time of 22:21.1. Eva Novy-Hildesley, Fiona Bodkin, and Kendall Madine followed and finished 33rd, 39th, and 61st overall. Novy-Hildesley finished with 22:38.5, Bodkin with 22:45.5, and Madine finished with an individual running time of 23:03.2. The Sagehens were ranked 30th nationally before the meet and ended up beating the #13, #22, #24, #27 and #29 ranked teams
UCR HIGHLANDER INVITE - 24th Place
The Sagehens totaled 532 points. The team finished nineteen points behind Southern Nevada, who totaled 513 points.
Destiny Osemwengie led Pomona-Pitzer with a 133rd place individual finish, running a time of 22:45.8. Lili Maycock, Ameya Teli, and Olivia Brinkman followed and finished 136th, 166th, and 187th overall. Maycock finished with 22:47.7, Teli with 23:08.8, and Brinkman finished with an individual running time of 23:33.2.
