CLAREMONT, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer women's swimming & diving defeated Biola by a score of 211-84 Saturday afternoon at Haldeman Pool.
The Sagehens started the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, swimming a time of 1:46.59.
Bennett Jones then won the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:58.07, before
Joy Lee won the 200-yard freestyle with a 1:57.80.
Charlotte Dixon finished first in the 100-yard backstroke with a 59.63 while
Francesca Coppo won the 100-yard breaststroke with a 1:07.24.
In the 200-yard butterfly,
Asha Bansal won with a time of 2:09.46.
Valerie Mello then raced a 24.23 to win the 50-yard freestyle.
Chesna Pelka secured the win in the 100-yard freestyle with a 53.91 while
Mollie Appl won the 200-yard backstroke with a 2:07.27.
Abby Raclaw took the win in the 500-yard freestyle with a 5:19.89.
Mollie Appl posted another win in the 100-yard butterfly, racing a 58.30.
Izzy Yoon finished first in the 200-yard IM before the Sagehens finished the meet with a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay, racing a 1:38.07.
Up Next: Pomona-Pitzer returns to Haldeman Pool next Friday, Jan. 24, to face UC Santa Cruz. The meet is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. PT.
