CLAREMONT, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer women's swimming & diving cruised to a 222-54 win over Redlands Saturday afternoon at Haldeman Pool.
Season Impact: The win improves the Sagehens' head-to-head record to 6-0 versus SCIAC opponents on the season.
Yuxi Apel started the meet off with a win in the 1m diving, posting a score of 171.45. Yuxi also won the 3m diving with a final score of 164.30.
The Sagehens' 400-yard medley relay squad won its event with a time of 3:57.78.
Bennett Jones then won the 1650-yard freestyle after racing a time of 18:25.86.
Maren Rusk also secured a win in the 200-yard freestyle, racing a 1:56.98.
Mollie Appl then won the 100-yard backstroke with a 1:00.40.
In the 100-yard breaststroke, Kiana Li won with a 1:11.52.
Elise Jones won the 200-yard butterfly with a 2:20.24.
Emmy Luu placed first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.32. Rusk won her second event of the day, clocking a 54.29 in the 100-yard freestyle.
Amaia Sherman raced a 2:10.93 to win the 200-yard backstroke.
Gabby Calvi then won the 200-yard breaststroke with a 2:29.17.
Mollie Appl won the 500-yard freestyle after clocking in at 5:30.39.
Francesca Coppo placed first in the 100-yard butterfly with a 59.10.
Karolina Dzieciol won the 400-yard IM with a 4:44.93 before the Sagehens ended the day with a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay, clocking a 1:37.83.
