Sagehens Show Well in PP All Comers on Saturday

CLAREMONT, Ca.  – The Pomona-Pitzer women's track and field team performed well in the 2024 Pomona-Pitzer All Comers meet on Saturday. The Sagehens will be back in action on Feb. 24 when they compete at the CMS Rossi Relays.
 
Meet Highlights
Kaitlyn Ulalisa earned a fourth place finish in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.47 seconds. In the 3k, Mira Terdiman finished in second with a time of 10:32.39 with Fiona Bodkin, Chloe Connolly, and Lexi Emerson all finishing in the top-ten with Bodkin taking fifth in 10:43.73. The 4 x 100m relay team of Kensington Binstadt, Olivia Reichle, Kaitlyn Ulalisa, and Katriona Kirkpatrick took first with a time of 49.80 seconds. In the 100m, Binstadt took third with a time of 12.95 seconds with Reichle in fifth with a time of 13.23 seconds. McKayla Proulx took fifth in the 800m with a time of 2:28.57 with Maggie Avey taking seventh in 2:30.17. Katriona Kirkpatrick took second overall in the 200m, storming to the finish in 25.88 seconds. In the mile, Michaela Jones took third overall with a time of 5:16.96. The Sagehens 4 x 400m relay team of Anna Marston, Nicole Player, Megan Walter, and Elizabeth Newman took second with a time of 4:20.46. 
 
Morgan McDonald took fourth place in the pole vault for the Sagehens, clearing three bars with a 2.50m jump before bowing out of the competition after three attempts at 2.65m. Felicia Akinde and Ella Bowers both jumped over 5m in the long jump with Akinde taking seventh with a 5.03m jump while Bowers took eighth with a 5.01m jump. Nicole Player took ninth after jumping 4.93m. Logan Spoonemore and Brianna Huynh were standout performers for the Sagehens in the javelin, taking fourth and sixth in the event with throws of 35.23m and 31.31m. Izzy Sabatino led the Sagehens in the shot put, throwing 9.55m to take eighth. Natalia Cossio had a perfect day in the high jump, clearing five bars on first attempts, finishing the day in first overall after a clean jump over 1.50m. Ella Bowers took fifth in the event with a 1.45m clearance.
