Sagehens Beat the Tigers in First Dual of 2024

LOS ANGELES, Ca. – The Pomona-Pitzer women's track and field team opened the 2024 season with a 54-49 victory over Occidental College on Saturday afternoon. The Sagehens will return to Claremont to host the PP Collegiate All-Comers on Feb. 17 starting at 10:30 a.m. 
 
Meet Highlights
In the 100m hurdles, Kaitlyn Ulalisa took first with a time of 15.63 seconds. The Sagehens 4 x 800m relay team of Sara Colando, McKayla Proulx, Anna MacDonald, and Elizabeth Newman took first with a time of 9:52.80. The 4 x 100m relay team of Kensington Binstadt, Olivia Reichle, Kaitlyn Ulalisa, and Katriona Kirkpatrick took first with a time of 49.88 seconds. Katriona Kirkpatrick took first in the 100m with a time of 12.81 seconds. The 4 x 1600m relay team of FIoan Bodkin, Chloe Connolly, Lexi Emerson, and Mira Terdiman took first with a time of 22:22.01. The Sagehens also won the mixed 4 x 400m relay with Sara Colando, Michaela Jones, Emil Adams, and Gaving Doig combining for a time of 3:49.49. Eliana Katz took second in the hammer throw with a mark of 21.65m. Logan Spoonemore won the javelin with a 33.83m throw. In the long jump, Felicia Akinde took first with a 4.94m jump while Ella Bowers won the triple jump after jumping 10.78m. Katz took second in the discus throw with a mark of 22.37m and later took second in the shot put with a throw of 7.71m.
