ESTACADA, Ore. — Pomona-Pitzer men's cross country won its seventh consecutive NCAA West Regional title Saturday, led by a first place individual finish by
Quinn White and a second place finish by
Cameron Hatler.
As a team, the Sagehens totaled 42 points, finishing ahead of second-place CMS (101) and third-place George Fox (127).
White raced a personal-best time of 24:01.1 in the 8k, finishing first overall. Hatler followed in second place after clocking a time of 24:07.5, while
Jack Stein took sixth with a time of 24:22.6.
Jefferson Wright posted a 12th-place individual finish, racing a time of 24:33.1.
Owen Kobett followed in 22nd place with a time of 24:53.8, rounding out the Sagehens' top five finishers.
Evan Villano took 24th with a 24:54.5 and
Peter Neid took 28th with a time of 25:00.2.
Up Next: Pomona-Pitzer will compete for a national championship next Saturday, Nov. 23, in Terre Haute, Indiana, at the NCAA Championships.
