CLAREMONT, CA. — Pomona-Pitzer women's swimming and diving posted a series of strong performances at California Baptist and at home this weekend.
VS CBU, CIT AT RIVERSIDE, CA.
Izzy Yoon notched the Sagehens' first individual event win of the meet, winning the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 58.22. Yoon also won the 200 yard backstroke after clocking in at 2:06.71. Yoon posted her third win of the day in the 200 yard IM, racing a 2:11.84.
Chesna Pelka placed first in the 100 yard butterfly, posting a time of 58.99.
At the diving boards,
Charlotte Friedman won the 3m diving with a score of 201.30. The Sagehens' 200 yard freestyle relay team won the event with a time of 1:35.56 to close day one of the season.
VS CUI AT CLAREMONT, CA.
Asha Bansal secured the Sagehens' first individual win of the day against CUI, racing a 57.53 in the 100 yard butterfly.
Chesna Pelka won the 50 yard butterfly with a time of 25.87, while
Francesca Coppo (26.03) and
Gabby Calvi (26.11) came in second and third.
Bennett Jones won the 400 yard IM after racing a 4:40.32. The Sagehens' 400 yard freestyle relay squad won the event after clocking in at 3:30.47.
