RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Maddie Kauahi led the Pomona-Pitzer Women's Swimming and Diving team to a pair of wins, but the No. 16 Sagehens fell in a dual meet to the Division II Cal Baptist Lancers 169-92 Saturday afternoon.
Angela Ling led with a win in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 58.19. Sarah Jin finished the race in second with a time of 59.07.
In the 50 yard freestyle, Kauahi took home a win (24.32) and Cayla Nishizaki, came in third with a time of 25.47.
Kauahi came away with another win in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 53.95.
The Sagehens came away with a win in the 200 yard freestyle relay (1:40.63) on a team made up of Nishizakim, Kauahi, Sabrina Kwan, and Mallori Hsu.
Pomona-Pitzer had second place finishes by Katherine Lauerman in the 1650 yard freestyle (4:04.42), Kauhi in the 200 yard freestyle (1:59.35), Kwan in the 200 yard butterfly (2:13.27) and 100 yard butterfly (1:00.69), and Angela Ling in the 200 yard backstroke (2:09.16),
In diving, Ellen Wang finished third in the one meter with a score of 203.40.
Next Meet: The Sagehens are back on action on November 12 in 2 p.m. meet at Whittier College.
