Pomona-Pitzer Athletics

Merritt Field

The 4,000-seat Merritt Field serves as the home for Pomona-Pitzer Football and Lacrosse and was named for legendary Sagehen coach Earl "Fuzz" Merritt ('25), who headed the program from 1925 to 1958. The facility, which is adjacent to the CARW, features a new renovation in 2024 with the installation of field turf and a video board on the east end.  Merritt Field also features permanent bleacher seating, a working press box for 12 people, and scenic views of the San Gabriel Mountains. The West end zone also features a trademark giant oak tree behind the goal posts.
