USTFCCCA Name Eight Sagehen All-Region Athletes

NEW ORLEANS, LA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Track & Field Team accrued several All-Region awards before the upcoming NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship as eight different athletes earned a spot on the All-Region Team. Vicky-Marie Addo-Ashong led the team with three All-West honors, earning a spot for the 100 Meter Hurdles, Triple Jump, and High Jump. This marked the second consecutive season she won an All-Region honor, having won it last season for the Triple Jump.

First year Quin Fraley capped off an impressive debut season with All-Region honors in the 400 Meter Dash and as a member of the 4x400 Relay Team alongside Tessa Fujisaki, Rosie Linkus, and Sophie Richards.

Junior Lauren Hamilton also took two All-Region awards for her strong performances in the long-distance races, winning it for the 5000m and 10,000m run. Her classmate Helen Guo earned an All-West spot for the 5000m, the second straight time she won it in her career.

Lila Cardillo earned an All-Region honor for the 10,000m run as well while her classmate Linkus took an additional All-Region award for the 800m.

The Sagehens will travel to Geneva, Ohio this week to compete in the NCAA Championship hosted at the Spire Institute from Thursday, May 23 to Saturday, May 25.
